Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How large are the urns? A. All urns have a
minimum capacity of 4 liters or 240 cubic inches.
Q. How strong are the urns? A. Carbon fiber
has 10 times the tensile strength of steel. The urns
therefore will be stronger, or as strong as any
current cremation urn.
Q. Will the urns decompose over time? A. The
urns will not decompose as they are not susceptible
to rust, rot, mold or mildew. The carbon fiber
structure is permanent, having an infinite lifespan.
Q. Will the urns be affected by weather if placed
in an outdoor cemetery niche? A. The urns are
not affected by sun, rain, wind or temperature
extremes. Over time, however, the jewel like surface
will become cloudy, but the urn structure will not
be affected.
Q. Will the urns be affected by moisture? A.
When the urn opening is permanently sealed using ABS
cement, the urn is moisture and water proof, and the
contents will remain dry.
Q. Will the urns remain waterproof if placed in a
man made underwater reef niche? A. When the urns
are permanently sealed they will remain waterproof.
Q. How environmentally friendly are carbon fiber
urns? A. The carbon from which the urns are
constructed will be permanently removed from the
environment and will never decompose into carbon
dioxide – the “greenhouse gas” that is responsible
for global warming.
